Matrimonial Issues among Yoruba Muslims of Nigeria

The book deals essentially with the matrimonial matters ranging from marriage, divorce, paternity and family maintenance. It abhors divorce in all its ramifications. It encourages sustainability of marriages and absolute maintenance of the issues involved. It warns Muslims against frivolous marriage dissolution particularly as regards the effect of such dissolution of marriages on the immediate family, nucleus family and the generality of the society.

Prof. H. Abdulsalam, born in Otan-Ayegbaju now in Osun State Nigeria. He had his tertiary education at Bayero University, Kano State Nigeria, from where he proceeded to the University of Ilorin for His Ph.D. in Islamic Studies. He had a brief stay in the Kwara State Judiciary as a Registrar and a Judge. He now lectures at the University of Ilorin.
